Mankeel W7 underwater scooter – dual 300W motor, 1.6 m/s, 50 min runtime, IPX7, up to 50 m depth, black

Mankeel W7 underwater scooter – dive into adventure

The Mankeel W7 is a compact, high-performance underwater scooter designed for snorkeling, recreational diving and surface fun. The two 300W brushless motors deliver a total of 12 kgf of thrust, while the one-piece injection-moulded housing and IPX8 rating ensure safe operation down to 50 meters. Its lightweight, ergonomic design makes it easy to handle for both kids and adults.

Technical details that matter

Motor and drive

The W7 uses two side-by-side 300W (350W peak) brushless motors. Brushless technology is ideal in a marine environment because there are no wearing mechanical brushes, resistance is lower and service life is significantly longer than with traditional brushed motors. Combined thrust is 12 kgf (26.4 lbf), providing confident, stable pull in the water even for adults.

Speed modes

You can choose between two speed modes: low speed (0.8 m/s) for children, beginners and close-up observation, and high speed (1.8 m/s / ~6.5 km/h) for more experienced users and open-water cruising. A child-lock function disables the higher speed, so younger users can enjoy the scooter with added safety.

Battery and runtime

The removable 22.2V 6000mAh (133.2 Wh) lithium battery is the key to long runtime. When diving (low speed, deeper water) it can run for up to 60 minutes on a single charge, while in high speed mode at the surface you can expect around 30 minutes. The battery fully recharges in 3–5 hours and is easy to swap – with a spare pack, the adventure continues.

Waterproofing and construction

The housing is made with one-piece injection moulding, with no joints that could become potential leak points. The IPX8 rating means it is protected during continuous immersion – down to 50 meters. Waterproof silicone seals and pressure-resistant buttons keep the internal electronics safely isolated from moisture.

Dimensions and design

Dimensions: 540 × 280 × 190 mm; weight just 4.7 kg (battery: 1.4 kg). The compact form factor and positive buoyancy (+0.2 kg) mean it will not sink if released – a practical safety benefit. A front GoPro-compatible mount lets you capture every underwater moment.

Operating temperature

The unit operates reliably between -5°C and +50°C – suitable for indoor winter pools through to tropical seas.

Specifications at a glance

Why choose this model?

Rated for depths up to 50 m. Many similar underwater scooters are only waterproof to 10–30 m. The W7 is IPX8-rated and tested to 50 m, so it is suitable from snorkeling depths through to recreational diving, not just for pool use.

Two speed modes. Low speed (0.8 m/s) is ideal for kids, relaxed cruising and close-up reef viewing or photography. High speed (1.8 m/s) delivers a noticeable pull in open water and a more dynamic ride for adults.

Genuine 12 kgf thrust. Some budget scooters advertise impressive figures but feel weak in real use. The W7’s dual-motor setup and 12 kgf thrust are designed to provide real pulling power – not just a gentle push.

Removable battery. With a spare battery you can easily extend your time on the water. Many competitors use built-in packs; here the battery is replaceable, and the charger is included in the box.

GoPro-compatible mount. The front mounting point uses a standard GoPro-style interface, so you can attach your action camera directly without extra adapters.

Lightweight and buoyant. At 4.7 kg with positive buoyancy, the scooter will float instead of sinking if let go – an intentional safety-oriented design choice.

Who is it for?

The Mankeel W7 is a smart choice for beach holidays, snorkelers, recreational divers, water-sport-loving families and action camera enthusiasts. Its compact size fits easily into a medium suitcase, making it a convenient travel companion wherever there is water.
